Visit and Tour of Port Louis. Enjoy a visit of Port Louis the capital of Mauritius. Port Louis is the Mauritius' largest city and the economic and administrative center of the island.
Port- Louis offers a glimpse of how Mauritius was years back with its stone pavement and very old buildings which relates History.
Right off the main square you can stroll besides the palm-lined Place d'Armes. You can see some wonderful French colonial buildings, especially the Government House and theMunicipal Theater. You will have free time to visit the Mauritius History Museum and the center of Port Louis
As part of the visit of Port Louis, you will also visit the Fort Adelaide (also known as La Citadelle) was built in a very strategic location on higher lands of Port Louis at 240 feet above sea level. The construction of Fort Adelaide started on 1832 and completed after almost ten years. Fort Adelaide offers a vast panorama on Port-Louis and its harbour. The British built this fortress in fear of a civil war from the remaining French settlers on the island and also for the purpose of guarding the harbor against enemy attacks. A ride uphill to Fort Adelaide, guarantee breathtaking view of Port Louis andof the mountain range surrounding Port Louis.
Domaine Des Pailles. Only 10 minutes from Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius, lies Domaine Les Pailles, a cluster of varied gastronomic cultures blended with series of leisure and historical activities.
At the Domaine Les Pailles you will have a unique guided journey discovering the past of Mauritius from its very early days as the Isle de France.
As part of this mythical journey you will have a guided tour of the domaine including:

Eureka – Eureka Creole House. Eureka House is a unique Creole house built in 1830 located by the river of Moka. It is an elegant Créole residence originally owned by British and French aristocrats in the 19th century, the Eureka Mansion and its grounds provide an intriguing glimpse into colonial life. The house is filled with antiques and photos of the period. The house also has a magnificent garden surrounded by waterfalls of the Moka River. Eureka House is reputed to be one of the largest houses on the island, with 109 doors and windows.
The Eureka house was restored and opened to the public as a museum in 1986. The house is constructed largely of wood and surrounded by a long, shady veranda. The extensive grounds consist of a curious mix of natural Mauritian plant life, including mango trees and palms, a waterfall and an English-style garden. The museum has areas dedicated to music, art, antique maps, Chinese and Indian house wares and quirky contraptions like a colonial-era shower. You will have a tour of the house and its beautiful gardens.
