Cap Malheureux Beach
A small fishing village in the north of Mauritius, Cap Malheureux's bay is the mooring point for many small boats. The beach has some rocky areas and is the perfect place to go snorkeling. The area has beautiful views of the islands of Ile Plate, Ile Ronde and Coin De Mire with the hotels of Coin de Mire Hotel, Legends, Veranda Paul & Virginie. With its name meaning 'unhappy Cape' after the many ships that sunk in its coral, Cap Malheureux is the ideal spot for those wanting to go wreck diving.
Mont Choisy Beach
A beautiful soft, white sandy beach with turquoise blue water, Mont Choisy is very popular with both locals and visitors to the island. Casuarinas trees line the beach giving shade from the afternoon sun. The beach stretches for three kilometers and the calm waters in the lagoon are good for swimming and snorkeling. The Casuarina Resort & Spa is near to the beach.
Pereybere Beach
Situated in the north of Mauritius, the beach is nearby to Merville Beach. This long beach is known as the fun beach on the island with soccer games on the beach and kite boarding and swimming happening in the ocean. The clear water is deeper than most beaches on the island, and is therefore great for those looking to snorkel. The beach can quite busy on weekends and during school holidays, so make sure to arrive early to get a good spot.
