Le Val Nature Park

It is situated in the south-east of the island at Cluny, Le Val offers a view of the natural aquatic life of shrimps, eels and freshwater fish. The park also hosts anthurium in green-houses, watercress ponds, deer park.

This 2,800 hectare nature park derives its name from the luxurious valley, at Cluny south east of the island in the Grand Port district. Isolated chimneys on the property are reminders of early sugar factories.

This one and only government-owned sugar estate has today diversified into agriculture and farming: breeding freshwater prawns, cultivating anthuriums cultivated in greenhouses for export and a mini aquarium housing some eels and tropical fish.

The trip to Le Val Nature Park is an adventure on its own.

The park itself is located in a valley surrounded by green hills and gives visitors the chance to become familiar with the flora of Mauritius. Time spent in the Le Val Nature Park is interesting and relaxing .
The entire park has a population of mature trees that offer sufficient shade.

Flowers are grown in greenhouses. The park is populated by monkeys, deer, and giant tortoises.

There is a beautiful lake in the middle of the park.
