Champs De Mars
The Champ de Mars Racecourse is a thoroughbred horse race track in Port Louis, Mauritius. The Racecourse was inaugurated on 25 June 1812, by The Mauritius Turf Club (MTC) which was founded earlier in the same year by Sir Robert Townsend Farquhar, who was the first British Governor of Mauritius.
Port Louis National History Museum
Decreed National Museum in the year 2000, the Natural History Museum is the oldest museum in Mauritius. The museum is home to more than 35,000 geological samples and natural history specimens, 3,000 of which are on display.
