Le Domaine des Aubineaux
Le Domaine des Aubineaux situated at Forest Side ,is the first step of the tea route through Bois Cherie . On the domaine which is huge there is a colonial house which has been built in 1872.
The colonial house has been now converted in a Museum which forms parts of the tea route. During your visits you will learn all about tea and rum .In the museum you will discover a large collection of photos of colonial houses which has been demolished . There is not any so much colonial houses in Mauritius Island. You will find many antiques furniture ,photo of exhibition of the 19th and 20th century,visit the camphor garden,floral park,indoor lounge with a magnifique view ,essential oil distillation and aromatic shop .
Le Bois Cherie -
Le Bois Cherie Tea Factory is located near Grand Bois , and La Flora which is opened to visitors ,A guided visit of the tea factory and Museum is offered to you ,you can taste tea at the cottage,and also found Bois Cherie Restaurant with panoramique view ,as well as many activities such as fishing,kayak and trekking around the lake can be organised on site.
Visit to Bois Chéri, the biggest tea producer in Mauritius.
Bois Chéri is the first tea plantation in Mauritius dates back to 1892.
Visiting the Bois Chéri is the second stop in the Mauritian Tea Route (the first stop is the Domaine des Aubineaux).
A guide will lead you through the factory and the tea plantation, offering you to discover the history, stories and tales of the Bois Chéri and the importance of tea productions in Mauritius.After the guided tour of the tea factory, you will visit the tea production museum learning more about the history of tea in Mauritius.The Bois Chéri offers a great panoramic view of the south of the island.Nowadays Bois Chéri produces a new range of flavored teas, green teas and herbal teas. You may taste them during your visit.

La Plantation de Saint Aubin - Colonial house built in 1819 converted into a restaurant with WIFI facilities ,Agricultural Rum Distillery,with artisanal sugar factory ,where you can taste Sugar cane juice and Rum .Also founded an Eco museum ,greenhouse of Anthurium and Vanilla ,vanilla house and an explanatory movie of 3 minutes ,. It has been home to several managers of the sugar estate, before being renovated in the 90's in order to preserve a part of the Mauritian heritage. Today one may still see the beams and ship poles used in its original construction.ith a beautiful botanical garden and kids corner and a mini farm for visitors.
